Watch London Broncos v Wakefield Live

London Broncos have made three changes to their 19-man squad for the visit of Wakefield on Saturday evening.
Rob Powelll

Head coach Rob Powell is finally able to welcome back close-season signing Shane Rodney, who has not been able to play since February due to a knee injury. Winger Michael Robertson and second-rower Jason Golden are also back in the squad after recovering from injury.

Omari Caro, David Howell and Olsi Krasniqi are the three players who will make way for the returnees. The Broncos have won just one of their eight games so far in 2012 and suffered a 38-30 loss to fellow strugglers Widnes last time out.

"We're glad to have Shane Rodney and Michael Robertson back in the squad," Powell told the Broncos' official website. "We owe the fans, the owner and ourselves a good performance after last week and I know the boys are looking to make amends on Saturday."

Wakefield coach Richard Agar has named Paul Sykes in his 19-man squad after the utility back joined from Bradford on loan during the week. He comes in for centre Dean Collis, who was not able to pass a fitness test ahead of the contest, while the rest of the squad is unchanged from the one that claimed a 32-22 win over Catalan Dragons last time out.

That win was the Wildcats' first success since the opening game of the season but Agar feels his side have been improving for some time. "We've had a little bit of momentum over three or four weeks even though we've not had the two points to show for it," he told Wakefield's official website.

"This week brings along different challenges for a new group of people. It's the first time we've played someone below us in the competition. "All the teams that are in the lower reaches in the league, I can see them all improving. I've watched London this week and offensively I can see lots and lots of improvement from when I watched them against Hull.

"Maybe that's a common trait for the lower teams who have got a new influx of players and are getting used to the competition."

London squad: Bailey, Bryant, Clubb, Colbon, Cook, Dixon, Dorn, Golden, Gower, Kaufusi, Melling, O'Callaghan, Randall, Rinaldi, Robertson, Rodney, Sarginson, Temata, Witt.

Wakefield squad: Mathers, Fox, Walshaw, Mellars, Cockayne, John, Wood, Wilkes, Sykes, Raleigh, Lauitiiti, Southern, Washbrook, Aiton, Johnson, Kirmond, Amor, Smith, Trout.
