Hull FC director of rugby Shaun McRae has confirmed the club have offered centre Jordan Turner a new and improved contract.
The 23-year-old former Salford City Reds man is in the final year of a three-year contract and the Black and Whites are eager to retain his services.
Turner has scored 30 tries in 55 games for Hull - including helping himself to a hat-trick in the Good Friday 36-6 derby win over Hull KR."
St Helens are believed to be keen on landing Turner although McRae hopes the centre accepts the deal on the table and commits his future to the East Yorkshire side.
"We have made a substantially increased offer to Jordan as reward for his good form," McRae told the Hull Daily Mail.
"The ball is in his court, we've made a very good offer and it is now up to Jordan what he wants to do. If there is more than one choice it becomes confusing and I expect there is interest in Jordan.
"We can't do any more than offer the deal that's on the table and hopefully Jordan will take that. I hear the rumours like everyone else, but there is nothing we can do about that.
"We rate Jordan very highly and our offer shows that. Hopefully he'll accept it but there is no current timeframe and we are putting no pressure on him."
