Wigan's Gareth Hock is to appeal against the severity of the two-match ban he received for his red card against St Helens at the Magic Weekend.
Hock, one of three players sent off by referee Ben Thaler following a brawl at a scrum, was handed a two-match ban by the Rugby Football League's disciplinary panel on Tuesday.
However the Warriors forward will now have his appeal heard by the RFL on Wednesday.
Team-mate Chris Tuson was suspended for one match while St Helens forward Shaun Magennis, the other player dismissed for punching, got a three-game ban.
Another Wigan player, Lee Mossop, accepted a one-match suspension after being subsequently charged with punching by the RFL's match-review panel.
