Hull FC captain Andy Lynch has signed a new contract to keep him at the black and whites until the end of 2014.

Speaking to www.hullfc.com, Lynch said, “I have loved every minute of my time at the club so far and I can’t think of a better place for me to finish my career and hopefully with a few successful years.
“We’re not only building a competitive squad with some quality players and professionals, but we’re building an entire new club and culture and it’s an exciting change to be part of.
“I have no doubt that we can challenge for honours, even this year with a fully fit squad we have shown we’re not afraid of anyone and in Peter and his coaching staff we have the right people to take us forward.
“There is nowhere I would rather be right now and I’m excited to see what the next few years will hold.”
Hull FC head coach, Peter Gentle, admits the new deal wasn’t only based on his performances but his presence off the field too.
“Andy epitomises the type of player we want at this club, he is hard working, committed, professional and understands the role he needs to play at training, during games and within the rugby league community.
“However, the core reason for offering Andy an extension was his tremendous performances week in-week out.
“He has started his career with Hull FC in fine style and despite playing long minutes for us, he’s still producing the goods
