Wigan forwards Paul Prescott and Ben Flower have both been ruled out for up to six weeks due to injury.
Prescott damaged knee ligaments during the Warriors' 18-4 Challenge Cup quarter-final win over St Helens last weekend, while Flower picked up a hamstring problem playing for the club's under-20s side.
"Sadly those two are out for the forseeable future," said the Super League leaders' coach Shaun Wane.
"It does, however, give a chance to some of our youngsters, Gil Dudson and Dom Crosby and the like, who are ready to play and I have put pressure on our junior coaches to make sure these sort of players are up to speed and are ready to come into our team."
The news comes at a bad time for Wigan, who face a top-of-the-table trip to second-placed Huddersfield on Friday.
Wigan are also monitoring another front-rower, Epalahame Lauaki, who was knocked out in the cup tie, but centre Darrell Goulding is set to return at the Galpharm Stadium.
