Wigan Warriors winger Pat Richards is set to miss up to three months of the season following an operation to repair torn cartilage in his knee.

Richards confirmed the news via his Twitter account saying: “Unfortunately I’ll be out for the next 12 weeks. The operation went well and the knee will be better in the long run. Thanks for the messages.”
Richards sustained the injury against Hull FC in round 12 in which he scored a total of 26-points as the Warriors won 56-12.
“It is a shame to lose Pat, I thought he was terrific at Hull,” said Wigan Warriors head coach Shaun Wane after the game
