Liam Watts is set to make his Hull FC debut when the Black and Whites take on Huddersfield at the KC Stadium on Sunday
The 21-year-old prop, who was signed last week from arch-rivals Hull KR, has been named in Peter Gentle's 19-man squad for the clash.
Hooker Aaron Heremaia is also set to make his eagerly-anticipated home debut after returning from a long injury lay-off in the 40-18 defeat to Warrington last time out.
He has been joined in the squad by youngsters Danny Nicklas and Reece Lyne, who have replaced Liam Kent and the injured Danny Houghton.
Hull are chasing their first win in five matches and Gentle admits that his side needs to get back on track as soon as possible.
"I wouldn't say we are quite at the must win stage just yet. Winning or losing this game is not going to define our season, but it's an important match for us and we desperately want the two points," the Hull coach told his club's official website.
"Whatever happens on Sunday, we know our season will be judged on our consistency over the rest of the year, but if we want to challenge for a place in the top four, these are the sorts of games we need to win.
"We are trying to focus on the performance rather than the result though. Despite the score line last week, I thought we took a step forward in that game and the challenge for us is to build on that.
"Without giving too much away, there are a few little areas of our game that still need to improve and we'll be monitoring those. But if we get that right, I'm more than confident a win will follow."
Former Hull utility player Tommy Lee is set to come into the side in place of Luke Robinson, who is ruled out through injury.
Versatile forward David Faiumu returns to the side while Australian back-row forward Luke O'Donnell is in line to return after two months out with a torn hamstring.
The Giants have also been in poor form of late, losing four games in a row before bouncing back with victory over London Broncos last time out.
