Featherstone Rovers have revealed computerised images of the proposed Big Fellas Stadium redevelopment that have been submitted to Wakefield Metropolitan District Council.
The latest plans were revealed in front of a large audience who had attended a Q&A evening with Rovers head coach Daryl Powell, captain Stuart Dickens, CEO Craig Poskitt and director Steve Wagner to celebrate the cub’s debut appearance in the Northern Rail Cup Final on Sunday.
The computerised images reveal how the two stands that were transported last year from Scarborough Town FC’s former stadium, the McCain Stadium will be utilised. The images also show how the pitch will be extended by fifteen meters and the two stands will be erected at the Railway End of the stadium.
“We thought it was timely to reveal our final plans before our trip to Bloomfield Road,” said Featherstone Rovers CEO Craig Poskitt.
“We are hoping to receive planning permission imminently and supporters have been waiting patiently for the final design. The plans were very well received and are an integral component of our Destination Super League Campaign.”
Featherstone are among a number of clubs who could enter Super League should Bradford Bulls exit the league following administration.
