Hull KR coach Craig Sandercock believes Sean Gleeson will be able to fulfil his potential when he swaps Salford for Rovers next season.
Gleeson has signed a three-year deal at MS3 Craven Park and is seen as a direct replacement for Jake Webster, who is leaving after five seasons to join Castleford. Whilst centre is his more favoured position, Gleeson will also be able to provide cover at full-back and on the wing if needed.
The 24-year-old has been in terrific form for the Reds this season, scoring six tries as a key factor behind their explosive attack.
And Sandercock is delighted to add him to his squad for next season. "Sean is a player I have been watching for a while," said the Aussie coach. "He will be a terrific addition to our squad next year.
"He has been very impressive for Salford this season and at 24, he has the best years of his career in front of him. "Sean still has a fair bit of potential to fulfil and I'm confident he will be able to do that during his time with us."
Widely tipped to be joining the Robins before Salford's win in east Hull on Sunday, Gleeson was left out of Phil Veivers' squad. Gleeson began his career at hometown club Wigan in 2005, making six appearances before going on-loan to Widnes for another six games.
But he found some good form at Wakefield, scoring 24 tries in 78 games to earn a move to Salford ahead of last season. He has also found the try-line on the international front, with three tries in five games for Ireland.
Gleeson is the second signing confirmed by Rovers for next season, with KR already having agreed a deal for second row Cory Paterson.
