Hull KR will welcome back skipper Ben Galea for their derby clash with city rivals Hull FC at MS3 Craven Park on Monday night.
The Australian forward missed Rovers' home defeat to Salford last time out but is back in Craig Sandercock's 19-man squad after recovering from a hamstring injury.
Leading tryscorer David Hodgson and prop Joel Clinton are also expected to be fit to play after benefitting from the two-week break since Rovers' last fixture.
The Robins will be looking to close the gap to the Black and Whites to one point with the cross-city rivals currently locked in battle for the final play-off place.
Hull are set to give a debut to goalkicking winger Jamie Foster, who has joined them on loan from St Helens and is likely to slot straight in to replace the injured Ben Crooks.
Hooker Danny Houghton is back in Peter Gentle's 19-man squad after a four-match injury absence while James Cunningham, who made his debut last week, drops out as he is on tour with England's Academy team in Australia.
Winger Tom Lineham is hoping to make his debut after missing out on the match-day selection against Catalan Dragons last week.
"We might be tempted to tinker with a few other things as well," said Gentle, whose side have won just one of their last seven matches.
"The way we've been playing hasn't been working so we've looked at the possibility of doing something a bit different this week.
"The good thing for is that it's a derby and there shouldn't be any problem in getting the players up for it.
"Derbies tend to mean more to fans, while the coaches and the players think of them as a chance to get another two points, but there's no doubting how big an event it is for the city or how much players want to be a part of it.
"We have to be a whole lot smarter if we want to win, though. We've got to address our discipline and complete our sets, which have both been poor recently.
"Defensively, we've also been poor but I'm extremely confident we will put in a good showing on Monday."
