St Helens will be hoping to end their losing run against the out-of-form Castleford Tigers at Langtree Park on Friday night.
Saints' defeat at Wakefield last Sunday was the first time under Mike Rush and Keiron Cunningham that the club had suffered back-to-back defeats.
Rush's team beat the likes of Widnes, Catalan Dragons and Huddersfield in July, but have now lost to Warrington and the Wildcats in August.
Saints do have some injury concerns ahead of the game, with centres Michael Shenton(ankle) and Josh Jones (dead leg) likely to miss against the Tigers
Forward Sia Soliola is almost certain to return after a two-match lay off and wing Ade Gardner is back in contention after a lengthy absence, but Jon Wilkin (quad) will not be risked.
Rush is looking for his troops to roll their sleeves up this week in the wake of their heart-breaking 33-32 loss to Wakefield.
"We are preparing for the best Cas team because you can turn it around in a game," Rush commented.
"That said, this week is about us and our willingness to defend and roll our sleeves up and get back on track to show the form we were showing before the Warrington game ahead of the play-offs.
"It is the first time we have lost two on the bounce but we are not sulking. It is fine that people write us off - they wrote Leeds off last year."
Tigers head coach Ian Millward has made one change to his 19-man squad ahead of their trip to St Helens.
Young winger or full-back James Clare replaces Jamie Ellis, who is out after receiving a one match suspension.
Ellis pleaded guilty to a grade B dangerous throw on player Kieren Dixon in the 63rd minute of the fixture between Castleford Tigers and London Broncos last Sunday.
Back row forward Lee Mitchell is keen for the team to turn around their fortunes.
He said: "We have got to get ourselves back into some form and move on forward. We have only got a short turnaround this week until we play St Helens on Friday, but that's a good thing.
"It is up to us, all we can do is train hard and hopefully get things right at Langtree Park. They are coming off a defeat as well and that could work one of two ways."
