Andy Raleigh and Vince Mellars return from injury to take their places in Wakefield's 19-man squad for the Super League clash with Hull KR at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium on Saturday.
Prop Raleigh and centre Mellars are included in a squad which also contains scrum-half Tim Smith, who may recover from an ankle injury which forced him to miss the Wildcats' opening game.
Brad Singleton and Matty Wildie drop out as head coach Richard Agar makes two changes to the squad which were thrashed at Bradford last weekend. Smith was in the initial 19 against the Bulls but could not make the match-day selection.
"We'll make a call on Tim Smith at our last field session. He's making good progress and is probably rated 50-50 at this stage," Agar said.
"He's back running and doing some twisting and turning but we want to make sure he's 100 per cent."
Hull KR will give a debut to former Wakefield second rower Dale Ferguson, who has joined Rovers on loan from Huddersfield and takes the place of the injured Rhys Lovegrove in the only change.
The Robins are still without new signings Travis Burns and Sean Gleeson, as well as Ryan O'Hara and Kris Welham, but full-back Greg Eden will make his debut if he passes a late fitness test, with Craig Hall set to switch to stand-off.
Rovers suffered a 32-24 home defeat by Catalan Dragons on opening weekend and coach Craig Sandercock is looking for his side to make amends.
"We've had a look at the areas we need to improve on from last weekend and we will improve on them this week," he said.
"On Monday and Tuesday we had a good look at the video, as we do every week, and then from Wednesday onwards we've been concentrating on the task in hand at Wakefield on Saturday night."
