Hull FC's Tom Lineham has signed a four-year contract extension which will keep him at the KC Stadium until 2017.
The winger, 21, has started the season well and has scored four tries in three games, including a hat-trick in the 52-0 win over Castleford on Friday. "Tom has done tremendously to get to this point - his work ethic is second to none," Hull coach Peter Gentle told the club's website.
"He has lots to learn to maximise his potential. We believe he can do that." Lineham was originally a rugby union player at York Rugby Club but crossed codes to sign for Championship side York City Knights in 2009.
He then joined the Black and Whites in 2011 and was added to the squad list part way through the 2012 season. "Tom is one of a handful of very exciting young players we have at the club, alongside the likes of Joe Arundel and Ben Crooks," Gentle continued.
"That's why we have offered him a long-term deal. "We have them all on long-term contracts and with continued hard work and development they have the opportunity to become the foundation of our side for years to come."
