Annakin signs new Wildcats deal

Wakefield forward Chris Annakin has been rewarded for an impressive breakthrough season with a new two-year contract.

Chris Annakin has been rewarded

The 22-year-old has made 13 appearances in 2013 and scored his first try in the Wildcats' Magic Weekend derby loss to Castleford on Saturday.

Annakin was due to be out of contract at the end of the season but the club have announced he has now signed until the end of 2015.

Annakin said: "My goals at the start of the year were to make my debut and keep my shirt, then getting my future sorted was the next one after that."
