Leeds centre Joel Moon will miss his first match for the Rhinos after accepting a one-match ban.
The former Salford player, who has appeared in all 20 fixtures for his new club, was charged by the Rugby Football League's match-review panel with a dangerous tackle in the 38-28 win over Widnes.
Moon submitted an early-guilty plea to the grade B offence and will miss Sunday's visit to second-placed Huddersfield.
Thomas Minns is likely to replace Moon in an inexperienced Rhinos line-up which was already without eight regulars through injury for the re-arranged visit of the Vikings to Headingley.
However, coach Brian McDermott will have prop Kylie Leuluai back to face the Giants and centre Carl Ablett will have X-rays later this week to determine whether he he can return from a broken hand.
