St Helens have secured a deal to bring New Zealand forward Mose Masoe to Langtree Park for next season.
The 24-year-old front-rower has been granted a release from NRL side Penrith Panthers and has signed a two-year contract with the Saints.
Masoe will link up with Panthers team-mate Luke Walsh at Saints next term and is set to be a direct replacement for prop Josh Perry, who is expected to return to Australia when his contract expires at the end of this season.
"Mose is a big forward who will add a lot of size to our pack next year," Saints coach Nathan Brown said.
"He is young, still developing and will complement the squad we are putting together for 2014.
"We're delighted to have secured his services and once again we'd like to thank Penrith Panthers for agreeing to release him from his contract early."
Masoe joined the Panthers on a two-year deal earlier this year but has made only seven appearances so far.
The front-rower has been selected in the train-on squads for both New Zealand and Samoa but is yet to make his Test debut.
