Hull KR will be looking to defeat St Helens for a third time this season when the two sides meet at Langtree Park on Friday.
It has been a topsy-turvy season for Saints but they have won their previous two outings, including running in a half-century of points against Salford last time out.
They now sit three points clear of the Bradford Bulls in the final play-off berth and another victory this week will see them leapfrog over their opponents.
Coach Nathan Brown has recalled Stuart Howarth and Adam Swift to his 19-man squad with Jordan Hand and Luke Thompson the players to miss out.
Swift wasn't in the original party named but was drafted in to take the place of Mark Percival.
Hull KR, meanwhile, have risen up the standings after winning four of their last five fixtures, the only reverse in that run coming in controversial circumstances at the hands of city rivals Hull FC.
They recorded an impressive triumph away at Catalan Dragons last Saturday, though coach Craig Sandercock admits their efforts in Toulouse have forced him to go easy on his players this week.
"It will be a big test for us physically this week," he told the Hull Daily Mail.
"Catalan were physical, it was a really hot day and we didn't get home until late on Sunday afternoon, so we have had a short turnaround to deal with this week.
The only change from the squad sees Jason Netherton miss out due to illness, with Lincoln Withers taking his place.
