St Helens take on the Bradford Bulls at Langtree Park on Sunday with both teams aiming to get their seasons back on track.
The pair contested the second-ever Grand Final in 1999 and also met again in 2002, although they are both out of the top six in the standings this season.
Saints, who have four Grand Final wins to their name, beat Bradford on both those occasions while the Bulls have three triumphs to their name - seeing off Wigan twice.
St Helens have included half-back or full-back Jonny Lomax in their 19-man squad after a three-month injury lay-off.
Coach Nathan Brown has also called up prop Jordan Hand, following a dual-registration spell with Whitehaven, and recalled hooker or half-back Stuart Howarth.
Tommy Makinson takes over on the wing from Ade Gardner, who was concussed in the defeat at Huddersfield on Monday night.
Bradford, meanwhile, are without half-back Jarrod Sammut and back-row forward Chev Walker due to injuries sustained in last Sunday's defeat at Hull KR, while second rower Elliott Whitehead is omitted after submitting a transfer request.
Hooker Matt Diskin and forward Jacob Fairbank return from injury and there is a first call-up for England academy international Oliver Roberts.
Bulls youngster John Bateman believes Sunday's trip to St Helens is a must-win game for the West Yorkshire side.
"St Helens are a team around us in the table and these are the sort of games we should be winning," he told Love Rugby League. "We definitely have to beat Saints this week if we're going to get anywhere this year."
