Castleford have secured the services of forward Grant Millington for another season and are set to sign London Broncos centre Michael Channing on loan for the rest of the season.
Australian import Millington was due to become a free agent at the end of the season but coach Daryl Powell is pleased that he has decided to stay with the Tigers for a further 12 months.
Powell has been impressed with the 26-year-old, who can fill in at prop and second row, who joined the club at the end of 2011 from the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
"It's a great signing for us," Powell said. "I've been impressed with him, both as a person and as a player. He's a good all-round player and I'm delighted to have him on board for next year."
Channing, 21, has played 12 times for the Broncos in Super League this season but is not believed to be in coach Tony Rea's plans for the future.
He is set to link up with the Tigers next week, with a view to making a permament move to West Yorkshire at the end of the season.
In a third move, Castleford have allowed back-row forward Charlie Martin to head to Featherstone on a month's loan.
"He's been sat on his backside for quite a few weeks and this is a good opportunity for him to go and play," Powell said, who previously coached Rovers. "Featherstone have got a couple of injuries in the forwards so it will be good for them and good for us."
