Castleford Tigers have strengthened their squad for the remainder of the 2013 season after landing Michael Channing on loan from the London Broncos..
The 21-year-old outside back has made 12 appearances for the capital side this season, scoring one try, but has dropped out of head coach Tony Rea's plans.
Channing becomes Daryl Powell's second signing as head coach after Ben Davies arrived last month and the former Great Britain international is pleased with his newest signing.
"I have watched Michael play for a number of months now and I'm really pleased with his addition to the squad," Powell told the club's official website.
"He adds competition to the squad in the outside backs, just as Ben Davies has done with the forwards, so I'm really delighted with that and we'll be looking to potentially tie up a longer term deal with Michael."
Channing is looking forward to working under Powell and playing in front of the partisan Wish Communication Stadium faithful in West Yorkshire.
"I was looking at where I was going to learn the most and Cas seemed to tick all the boxes," stated Channing.
"I've heard a lot about Daryl Powell - hopefully I can learn a lot from him. I have the World Cup coming up at the end of the year so I want to learn everything that I can and become a better player.
"The fans here are great - I've played here before on the opposition's side and it's a tough place to come because of the atmosphere that the home fans create, so I'm looking forward to being a part of that.
"I'm going to give everything that I can and play my best for Castleford Tigers. I want to be a part of Cas because I know they're going somewhere."
