Hull KR have following the signing of Michael Weyman from St George Illawarra by bringing his former team-mate Neville Costigan to the club.
The Newcastle Knights utility forward, who began his NRL career with Brisbane Broncos in 2003, has agreed a two-year deal from 2014.
And current Rovers coach Craig Sandercock, who spent time with Costigan at the Knights, is relishing the prospect of having the 28-year-old on board.
"Nev is a quality player and one who has won a Grand Final, represented his country and played State of Origin," said Sandercock.
"He'll bring a lot to our team and that's why I was keen to get him over to our club. Nev was a pleasure to coach when I was with Newcastle and I'm looking forward to working with him again."
Costigan, who was part of the Papua New Guinea 2008 World Cup team, will join the Robins in the autumn subject to the necessary visa and work permit paperwork being completed.
