Hull FC and Wigan Warriors welcome back key players for Saturday's Challenge Cup final showpiece at Wembley.
The Airlie Birds name top try-scorer Lee Crooks in the squad for the first time since July's defeat at Bradford after he recovered from ankle surgery. Richard Horne is also included despite a three-month absence.
Wigan have captain Sean O'Loughlin and centre Darrell Goulding back in their ranks, with Anthony Gelling unfortunate to miss out. Saturday's final will be the third occasion in which the two clubs have met at this stage of the competition, and Wigan were victorious on both previous occasions in 1959 and 1985.
There are several links with the 1985 classic on both sides, a final widely regarded as one of the greatest in the cup's history. Warriors coach Shaun Wane missed out through injury on that afternoon despite featuring in every round leading up to the final, while on the opposite side Crooks's father Lee and uncle Steve Norton were key members of the Hull side.
Gareth Ellis will lead Hull out at Wembley, as they bid for a first victory at the national stadium on their eight attempt. The former Wests Tigers back-rower was a losing finalist with Leeds Rhinos at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, coincidentally against Hull, in 2005.
"These are the weeks that every player wants to be involved with," Ellis told BBC Sport. "To be preparing for a Challenge Cup final at Wembley is every boy's dream and to realise it now is a very special feeling."
Since booking their place at Wembley in July with victory against Warrington, Peter Gentle's side have been on a four-match unbeaten run including a derby victory against Hull Kingston Rovers at Craven Park. Catalans, Wakefield and Crusaders were also eliminated en route, proof of the ability to overcome top sides in knock-out football.
"I don't think we can be accused of taking an easy path," Gentle told BBC Radio Humberside. "Wigan are a good team, you can't read a lot into Super League form. We showed that with our wins in Catalans and Warrington while our form in the league wasn't terrific. They're going through a similar patch but put 70 on London the other week in the cup.
"You can't read anything into form, you can read into the class players. We know that they'll be on the job and we'll need to be too. While Hull are without Shannon McDonnell at full-back, with Horne or Jamie Shaul expected to deputise, Wigan will have first-choice 'number one' Sam Tomkins available for the final.
