HULL KR stadium attendance record is set to be broken

There will be more than 10,000 at Craven Park this weekend

Hull KR are set to kick off their opening game against Leeds is heading for a sell-out with over 10,300 tickets already sold.

Those figures mean that the Robins will run out in front of a stadium record crowd on Sunday afternoon with the previous biggest attendance being 10,250 against Hull FC back in 2011.

That was one of just three occasions in the 25-year history of the stadium that there has been a crowd of over 10,000 inside the home of the Robins and CEO Mike Smith says that Sunday will be a great occasion for all involved with the club.

"All the indications are that we will be putting up the 'sold out' signs on Sunday and that would be a wonderful achievement," he said. "The board of directors have demonstrated their ambition during the winter with significant investment being made both on and off the pitch and it's important that our supporters match that commitment by backing the club and the team.

"The board have always been prepared to back the club and seeing the stadium full on Sunday would show them that all the financial support and hard work is worth it. If there are supporters out there who are still not sure whether to come down to the game my message would be to buy a ticket, support the team and enjoy a great day out."
