St Helens and Hull FC will both be looking for back-to-back wins when they lock horns in a Friday night Super League showdown at Langtree Park.
Hull opened their 2014 Super League account with a 36-34 victory over Catalan Dragons last week as they ran in eight tries at the KC Stadium to pick up their first points of the campaign. St Helens thrashed local rivals Warrington Wolves in their own first round tie and will now take on Lee Radford's side in the inaugural Steve Prescott Cup.
The match sees the two clubs at which Prescott played the majority of his career go head-to-head and the team with the highest score over their two regular season games will be awarded the trophy in his memory.
"Steve did a lot for the town and rugby league, created a lot of hope and inspired people too," Saints coach Nathan Brown told the club's official site. "He gave hope to people in bad situations and what he raised under the circumstances and achieved was amazing. It will be a special night."
Brown has named an unchanged 19-man squad for the visit of Hull, expressing faith in the players who made a triumphant start to their campaign. Anthony Laffranchi, James Roby, Kyle Amor, Tommy Makinson, Adam Swift and Luke Walsh all dotted down as St Helens raced to a 38-8 victory at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
It was less than plain sailing for Hull, yet head coach Radford also retains the same match-day squad which edged the season opener against the Dragons at the KC Stadium.
Richard Whiting - who has scored a try in each of Hull's last three meeting with Saints - opened his account against the Dragons, while Richard Horne, Jordan Thompson, Tom Lineham, Jason Crooks and Jordan Rankin all graced the score sheet as well as a brace from Kirk Yeaman.
Radford is set to keep trust with the same side for the trip across the M62 although Jacob Miller and Joe Arundel will be pushing for inclusion having missed out as the 18th and 19th man respectively last week.
The first meeting between the pair last season resulted in a 22-22 stalemate, while the Saints prevailed in the reverse fixture at the KC Stadium, with a 38-12 victory.
