Huddersfield Giants have confirmed the signing of Salford winger Jodie Broughton on a four-year contract.
Broughton, who has previously had spells at Leeds and Hull FC, has scored 56 tries in 77 Super League appearances and has been on the fringes of the England squad.
And the 25-year-old former Leeds and Hull threequarter, who was officially the fastest man in Super League in 2011, will join the 2013 league leaders next month alongside fellow newcomers Chris Bailey and Antonio Kaufusi for the start of pre-season training.
"Jodie has a fantastic attribute that we have been lacking over the last few years which is genuine speed, and we now have a lot of variety in our outside backs," said Giants coach Paul Anderson.
"Jodie is a competitor and he has got a real appetite to want to learn and to do well. He has got his best football in front of him and we are confident that we can improve him technically, tactically and physically.
"He wants to come and improve as well and he is going to be good for our environment because he's a good bloke. Like all of us at the Giants, he wants to be successful and he is another part of the jigsaw that comes together for 2014."
Broughtonis hoping that the move to the Giants will help him break into the England squad.
He said: "I am absolutely delighted to be part of this club for the next four years.
"I had a few options on the table but I knew Huddersfield were the club for me. Their vision for the future really excited me and I want to be playing play-off rugby and pushing for the England squad.
"I think I'll settle in nicely at the club and it will help me demonstrate my full potential which I don't think we have seen yet. I enjoyed my time at Salford and will always be thankful for my time there, but now it's time for a new chapter."
