Scotland should feel right at home in Workington on Tuesday night when they open their Rugby League World Cup campaign against Tonga.
Steve McCormack's Bravehearts have based themselves in Cumbria for the tournament and the locals have embraced them - a close-to-capacity crowd is expected at Derwent Park for the first of two matches at the venue.
Danny Brough will be the star attraction for the Scots as Super League's reigning Man of Steel leads his adopted nation into battle.
"It should be a cracking atmosphere. When we walk round the town people come up, wish us luck, tell us they're going to be there," he said.
"It's pretty pleasing, I just hope we can give a good account of ourselves and get the win."
Brough - who qualifies to play for Scotland through his grandfather - will form a new-look half-back partnership with Penrith Panther Peter Wallace.
The Australian-born play-maker is one of several set to make their first appearances for Scotland, with fellow NRL based duo Luke Douglas (Gold Coast) and Kane Linnett (North Queensland) also likely to feature.
New Warrington recruit Matty Russell is another uncapped player who McCormack could select, along with Danny Addy of Bradford and Widnes' Ben Kavanagh.
Brough is excited about getting the chance to lead the Scots again having also been skipper for the last World Cup back in 2008.
"Hopefully I can cap a really good year I've had personally with Huddersfield," he said. "I'm looking forward to leading Scotland in this World Cup, we have a good coaching staff and a good bunch of lads.
"It's taken me a while to get to this point and it's been an up-and-down career, but I'm playing the best rugby of my career and I'm enjoying the game again."
Tonga, meanwhile, will be led by former Australia international Brent Kite, one of a number of NRL-based players who will be in their 17-man squad for the Group C fixture.
"We are more inward-looking, we'll be building on the things we do well and let Scotland deal with that," said Kite, who will be up against Wallace before the pair become team-mates at Penrith next year.
"But at the same time, knowing about their key players is an important part of any preparation, so we'll be looking at those guys and studying their strengths and weaknesses."
