Jimmy Keinhorst is looking forward to making his Wakefield debut in familiar surroundings on Sunday.
The centre, on loan from the Leeds Rhinos, was due to represent the Wildcats for the first time last Sunday but the game against Huddersfield, Andy Raleigh's testimonial, was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
So now his first appearance in the red white and blue will be at Hunslet Hawks, a club where he enjoyed a successful loan spell last season.
"It would have been good to get a run out on Sunday after a few months out," Keinhorst told the club's offiical website, www.wakefieldwildcats.co.uk.
"It's been a while now so I'm quite eager to get back into it and Sunday can't come quickly enough.
"I spent a good few games there last year and it helped me as a player and helped my development to get some regular game time. I think it put me in better stead for when I was called back to Leeds for those few games. I was thankful for that and the opportunity they gave me last year.
"There's no better preparation than actually playing so it was a bit disappointing to miss out on Sunday, particularly for Andy Raleigh. We have to look to this Sunday, get a good hit-out, put some combinations together and get used to each other."
