Wigan's teenage winger Joe Burgess pushed his claims for a regular Super League place with two second-half tries to help the champions to a 28-16 victory over St Helens in the James Roby testimonial match at Langtree Park.
Saints led 12-6 at half-time thanks to tries from winger Adam Swift and Roby, both goaled by new signing Luke Walsh, with Liam Farrell scoring for the visitors.
Burgess' first try enabled the Warriors to draw level before stand-off Blake Green nudged them ahead. Swift kept Saints in touch with his second try but Wigan finished the stronger side, with Burgess and Gil Dudson adding further tries towards the end.
England international Tom Briscoe scored on his first appearance for Leeds, but his wing rival Ben Jones-Bishop took the honours in the Ryan Bailey testimonial match with a second-half hat-trick at Headingley.
A near full-strength Rhinos ran in 12 tries against the youthful London Broncos on their way to a 62-10 win, with Chris Clarkson and Joel Moon each touching down twice.
The Broncos trailed only 18-6 at half-time after trialist Sean Morris scored a long-range interception try, and they had the final say when full-back Nesiasi Mataitonga scored the final try of the match.
