Halifax v Widnes preview
Halifax will attempt to return to the Super League for the first time since 2003 as they play their opening fixture in The Qualifiers.
Back-rower Jacob Fairbank could make his debut, having signed from Super League side Huddersfield in July.
Widnes have captain Kevin Brown back from his ankle injury with Danny Tickle and Eamoon O'Carroll also returning.
The Vikings are also expected to give a debut to centre Charly Runciman after his move from St George Illawara.
