Ben Pomeroy is in danger of missing the rest of the season
Catalans Dragons centre Ben Pomeroy is in danger of missing the rest of the season after being charged with making a grade E dangerous throw on Castleford's Ashley Gibson
Pomeroy was sent off - for the second time in three matches - in the 29th minute of Saturday's Super 8s game and has been charged by the Rugby Football League's match review panel.
The Australian, who was making his return from a one-match ban for a shoulder charge, could be suspended for between four and eight matches if found guilty when he appears in front of a disciplinary tribunal on Tuesday evening.
Warrington prop Ashton Sims is also facing the threat of a second ban of the season after being charged with a grade B offence of stamping on fellow front rower Lee Mossop during the Wolves' 28-0 home defeat by Wigan last Friday.
Sims, who served a one-match ban for punching last month, was placed on report for the offence and will appear in front of the disciplinary tribunal.
Wakefield hooker Michael Sio, sin-binned for a "crusher" tackle on Leigh full-back Gregg McNally during his side's 17-16 win over the Centurions on Saturday, has been charged with a grade B offence.
Leigh second rower Kurt Haggerty, put on report for striking with his knees on Wildcats scrum-half Tim Smith in that Super 8s Qualifiers match, has also been charged with a grade B offence.
Haggerty will also face a hearing while Sio has until 11am on Tuesday to submit an early guilty plea.
