St Helens v Huddersfield preview
Saints have included wing Tommy Makinson in the squad for Thursday night's clash against Huddersfield - and is looking set to play for the first time since his leg break in June.
Makinson was the form wing of the competition until his injury and his potency on the flank has been sorely missed.
Speaking yesterday Coach Keiron Cunningham said: "Hopefully Tommy will be back, we trained him today and see how he comes through a few more things – and if he does he will be fine.
Prop Kyle Amor also returns after dropping out against Hull.
"Kyle is in with a chance. He has responded really well - missing a game has donme him good. He is champing at the bit so hopefully give us something," Cunningham said.
Huddersfield Giants have named the same 19-man squad for Thursday’s Super 8s trip to St Helens.
That means coach Paul Anderson could field the same 17 that beat Catalans Dragons 24-12 at home on Friday, with experienced Australian loose-forward Chris Bailey once again missing out.
