Wigan v Castleford preview
Wigan will attempt to preserve their year-long unbeaten record when they host Castleford at the DW Stadium on Friday night.
Victory will secure a home semi-final for the Warriors and possibly the league leaders' shield if Leeds lose at Huddersfield.
Castleford, who are guaranteed a fifth-place finish, are without skipper Michael Shenton but Wigan coach Shaun Wane is wary of a side that beat Leeds at Headingley a week ago.
"Cas are playing with a free rein," said Wane, who welcomes back England second rower Liam Farrell from injury. "I had a feeling they would turn Leeds over.
"We've gone through a lot of footage on Castleford because they throw a lot at teams. They've got some talent in their team and they're probably the best attacking team at the moment.
"We've been working on our defence this week."
Wane is a big fan of the new Super 8s format, saying: "It's very exciting, it's what the RFL wanted. These are the games I want to be coaching in.
"Every game being played this weekend is huge but the only thing I'm concentrating on is making sure we perform.
"We'll get what we deserve. If we win the game we get a home semi-final, if we don't then we don't deserve one."
