Did Batley's last-minute conversion to draw with Bradford go over?
London Broncos move to the top of the Kingstone Press Championship after Batley Bulldogs and Bradford Bulls draw.
London Broncos 22-18 Dewsbury Rams
London Broncos moved to the top of the Kingstone Press Championship after a 22-18 victory over Dewsbury Rams at Ealing.
Rhys Williams crossed twice in the first half but London trailed 12-10 at the break after Rams half-back Brad Delaney converted tries from Dalton Grant and Jason Crookes.
William Barthau's try edged the Broncos in front before Matt Garside wrapped up their fifth win out of six and ensured Kyle Trout's late effort was no more than a consolation for Dewsbury.
Sheffield Eagles 24-26 Whitehaven RLFC
Whitehaven made it back-to-back Kingstone Press Championship victories with a hard-fought 26-24 success at Sheffield Eagles on Saturday.
Rob Worrincy went over twice early on either side of Craig Calvert's try but the Whitehaven winger added his second to level the scores before Elliot Miller edged Haven 12-8 ahead just before half-time.
Scott McAvoy and Miller crossed to put the visitors in control but after Liam Carberry had cancelled out Michael Knowles' try, Worrincy completed his hat-trick and Mark Mexico scored four minutes from time to set up a nervy finish.
Batley Bulldogs 24-24 Bradford Bulls
Batley and Bradford both missed the chance to return to the top of the Kingstone Press Championship after Pat Walker kicked a last-minute penalty to force a 24-24 draw between the high fliers.
The Bulls were 24-12 in front after 50 minutes thanks to two tries from Jay Pitts and others from Omari Caro and Dale Ferguson, all converted by Danny Addy.
Batley had earlier led 12-6 thanks to tries from centre Chris Ulugia, who is on a season-long loan from Bradford, and Dave Scott while Keegan Hirst and Alex Brown added others as they fought back to set up a grandstand finish in which Walker kept his nerve to ensure a share of the spoils.
Halifax 18-26 Leigh Centurions
Leigh moved to within a point of Kingstone Press Championship leaders London Broncos after coming from behind to beat Halifax 26-18 at the Shay.
The Centurions were always in contention thanks to tries from Reni Maitua, Lee Smith and Gareth Hock before skipper Micky Higham struck the decisive blow seven minutes from the end and Martyn Ridyard made sure of their fourth win of the season with a second penalty before the hooter sounded.
Halifax's tryscorers were Tom Saxton, Adam Tangata and Connor Robinson, with Steve Tyrer kicking three goals.
Swinton Lions 10-30 Featherstone Rovers
A move to a new home did little to change Swinton's fortunes as a 30-10 defeat by Featherstone leaves them still looking for their first win since gaining promotion from Kingstone Press League 1.
Macauley Hallett and Chris Atkin scored tries at Heywood Road but only after the Lions found themselves trailing 30-0 after 67 minutes.
Rovers' tries were scored by Scott Turner, Ian Hardman, Kyran Johnson, Jamie Cording, Anthony Thackeray and Kyle Briggs, who also kicked three goals.
Workington Town 23-12 Oldham RLFC
Australian half-back Jarrod Sammut claimed two first-half tries to put Workington on their way to their first win of the season.
Jack Murphy and Chris Murphy also touched down, while Carl Forber kicked three goals and Sammut added a drop goal in a 23-12 win over Oldham at Derwent Park.
New signing Gary Middlehurst and hooker Phil Joy scored tries for the visitors as they stayed above Workington on points difference.
