Hull assistant coach Lee Radford is on stand-by to make a third appearance since coming out of retirement against Wigan on Sunday.
Head coach Peter Gentle recalls young prop Josh Bowden, who missed the Challenge Cup defeat by Huddersfield through illness, as injury-hit Hull bid to bounce back from back-to-back defeats by the Giants in league and cup.Full-back Wade McKinnon returns from a leg injury but centre Jordan Turner is out with a dead leg and Brett Seymour, Richard Whiting and Tony Martin will undergo late fitness checks.
Young centre Ben Crooks will be handed his first start after making his debut from the bench against Huddersfield last week.
Gentle has plenty of confidence in the son of former Hull great Lee Crooks, telling the club's official website: "We had planned to do something a bit different with Ben in the Huddersfield game last week.
"We had a different interchange in mind for him, but Jordan had to come off and we had no hesitation in putting him on to the field in his usual position.
"Jordan won't play on Sunday, so Ben will come straight into the side from the start and we have full confidence in him. Tom Briscoe has been talking to him in training and they have been building an understanding defensively.
"There is no pressure on Ben. He just needs to go out there, play his natural game and enjoy it. He is a talented player and while we have high hopes for him, there is no doubt his opportunity has come a bit earlier than he would have thought.
"But the experience will do him a power of good and I'm sure it will be great for his development."
Wigan skipper Sean O'Loughlin and winger Pat Richards are back for the Warriors.
The influential pair return from injury while Wigan are also boosted by the inclusion of Brett Finch, Harrison Hansen and Jeff Lima, who were all rested for their Challenge Cup game against North Wales Crusaders. However, forwards Ben Flower and Lee Mossop are still sidelined by injury.
