Queensland forward Ashley Harrison is out of next week's State of Origin decider after being ruled out for up to a month with a broken toe.
A scan on Monday revealed the 31-year-old has a fracture to the big toe of his right foot.
Brisbane pair Corey Parker and Ben Te'o in contention to replace him in what is a blow to the Maroons' hopes of claiming a seventh straight series win at Suncorp Stadium a week on Wednesday.
"I'm really disappointed I can't be part of a decider in my home town," Harrison said.
"It wouldn't be fair on myself and the team as I wouldn't have been able to prepare the way I should for such an important game.
"I've got full faith in whoever is selected that they can get the job done and I'd like to wish the Queensland team the best of luck for next Wednesday night."
