Wigan will be hoping to move one step closer to clinching the League Leaders' Shield when they face Castleford on Friday night.
The Warriors have a three-point lead over the Warrington Wolves at the top of the Stobart Super League table with six league games remaining in the regular season.
Shaun Wane's side are red-hot favourites to beat the Tigers who are 12th in the standings with six victories from their 21 league outings this term.
However, Castleford produced a stirring second-half comeback against the Wolves last weekend and Wigan coach Shaun Wane is particularly wary of the threat posed by England international Rangi Chase.
"In the second half the Tigers were by far the better team," Wane said. "I was impressed by Castleford. They scored some good tries and having Rangi Chase back has given them a lift.
"Rangi does his own thing and, when he gets the ball, it's alarm bells. We need to make sure we are ready for him and put him under pressure.
"In training this week we have had little Sam Powell acting as Rangi Chase. We haven't given him any time and he has certainly been in the wars."
Former Salford scrum-half Matty Smith makes his home debut for Wigan, who are without skipper Sean O'Loughlin after he damaged a hamstring in last week's win over London Broncos.
Meanwhile, Castleford coach Ian Millward will not finalise his line-up until the day of the game after illness laid low a couple of his players.
He has named an unchanged 19-man squad, with hooker Ryan Hudson and winger James Clare hoping to break into the team that lost at home to Warrington, while prop Steve Nash could come into the reckoning after returning from his loan spell at Leigh.
Millward knows it will take time for Chase to rediscover his best form after being suspended following a breach a club discipline.
"Rangi did well for us last week," said Millward. "He had to be a bit rusty because for three weeks wasn't at training - he wasn't even touching a ball - and you do lose it."
