Sean O'Loughlin is bracing himself for a full-on onslaught from Stuart Fielden this weekend.
But at least O'Loughlin and his Wigan team-mates only face a physical battering on Saturday - and not a verbal one.
Former England prop Fielden is known for his forthright views and in his first game for new club Huddersfield earlier this month had a spat with boss Paul Anderson for substituting him.
But former Wigan team-mate O'Loughlin reckons the bust-up just sums up Fielden's passion.
He said: "That's typical of Stu. I have seen him do that a few times. He did it with Bradford, Wigan and is still doing it now at Huddersfield.
"He's a competitor. He loves being on the field and doesn't like being taken off too often."
Fielden is back to form after injury restricted him to two appearances in the last two years at Wigan.
The 33-year-old, who joined Wigan for a record £450,000 fee in 2006, has started both games this season for the Giants.
O'Loughlin is expecting big things from Fielden as Huddersfield aim for a third successive win.
He added: "He will want to perform really well against us after the injuryhit seasons he had for us.
"He was out for a long time but he looks as though he has come back bigger and stronger this year.
"I am sure he wants to prove a point to everyone. He wants to prove he can come back and do it, and he'll want to do it even more against us.
The clash between the two unbeaten sides has been brought forward from Sunday because of Huddersfield Town's FA Cup fixture.
Wigan have a few injuries and will be looking for a big game from full-back Sam Tomkins. But Giants scrum-half Luke Robinson believes O'Loughlin is the danger.
He said: "Tomkins gets all the headlines, but O'Loughlin is the heartbeat of Wigan."
