Young Leeds Rhinos forward Alex Foster has committed his future to the club by signing a three-year contract at Headingley Carnegie.
Foster made his first-team breakthrough this year, going on to make eight Super League appearances after a debut against Widnes in June.
The 20-year-old is now tied to Leeds at least the end of the 2016 Super League season and the former Wetherby Bulldogs junior is excited about the years to come.
"I feel like I have been rewarded for my efforts last season with a three-year contract and that is a massive boost to my confidence," Foster told the club's official website.
"The senior players were great with me last season and I am looking forward to a big pre-season and continuing to learn from them and the coaching staff.
"There is a great group of young players also coming through at the club and it is nice to be part of that group. I am sure we can look forward to some exciting times in the years to come."
Head coach Brian McDermott was delighted with how Foster took his chance and he believes the youngster can go on and have a big future in the game.
"Alex did a great job for us last season and showed that he has a big future in Super League if he continues to work hard," said McDermott.
"He has had tremendous support from his family and amateur club at Wetherby Bulldogs and I think it is a credit to them how Alex has acquitted himself so far and I am sure they are very proud of him."
