Castleford v Warrington preview
Castleford Tigers make one change to the squad that beat Hull FC on Friday, as centre Michael Channing returns in place of hooker Paul McShane.
Victory against Warrington could see Castleford move above Huddersfield Giants into the play-off places.
Anthony England is unavailable for selection after picking up an elbow injury last weekend. Head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith has named his latest squad which sees the return of Ryan Atkins (dead leg), Ben Harrison (concussion) and Ben Westwood (suspension).
Powell has made just one change to the squad who claimed victory over Hull FC on Friday night with Paul McShance making way for Michael Channing.
Speaking ahead of the game head coach Powell said:
"We are looking to improve in a few areas this week after reviewing last weeks effort. We need to get out of the blocks better and our attacking shape and execution is another key area for us to sharpen up.
“Thursday night is going to be a tough challenge against a team who dominated our recent meeting pretty much from the start and were worthy winners. We are looking to provide a performance that shows how highly motivated we are to create the momentum we need for the weekly challenges we face in the Super 8’s.”
