Widnes and St Helens will attempt to return to winning ways when they meet at the Select Security Stadium on Easter Monday
The Vikings were knocked off top spot in Super League on Good Friday after letting a 10-0 lead slip at rivals Warrington, while Saints suffered a 24-12 reverse against Wigan.
Widnes are still without skipper Kevin Brown and lost Charly Runciman, Stefan Marsh and Lloyd White in the defeat at Warrington, so coach Denis Betts calls up youngsters Ed Chamberlain, Sam Brooks and Danny Walker.
"It is a tough turnaround," said Betts. "The Monday always turns into a vital game when you're coming off a loss."
St Helens are set to recall Jordan Turner and give a second appearance to Ricky Bailey, who made his debut on the wing on Easter Monday in 2015.
Prop Lama Tasi has been left out of Kieran Cunningham's 19-man squad.
Both teams are playing their second game in four days and St Helens' Australian full-back Shannon McDonnell admits such a situation would not be allowed to happen in the NRL.
"I'd never heard of the Easter period until I came over and someone told me I'd be playing two games in four days," he said.
"I didn't believe them at first and there would be uproar if it happened at home. It is what it is, the Super League do it and it happens all across the board with all the teams, which is something.
"It's a vital four points across four days because teams can get away from you."
