Leeds' miserable start to the Super League season continued with a 30-10 defeat at home to Hull Kingston Rovers on Friday.
Rovers ran in six tries, compared to Leeds' two, to condemn the Rhinos to their seventh league defeat of the campaign.
The defending champions now find themselves second bottom of Super League, just six months after their Grand Final triumph against Wigan.
After a scoreless first quarter, Rovers went ahead against the run of play when Shaun Lunt dummied his way over from acting half.
The former Huddersfield and Castleford player then grabbed his second try of the match just minutes later after James Greenwood had broken the Rhinos line.
Kieran Dixon missed that conversion but added another four points after the break - sprinting 80 metres to touch down after a mistake upfield from Rob Burrow.
Leeds, who had Danny McGuire back from injury, were struggling to create try-scoring chances and fell further behind when Ben Cockayne crossed over just under the posts.
Jamie Jones-Buchanan finally got the home side on the scoresheet with a quarter of the game remaining. Carl Ablett then added a second try for Leeds to briefly spark hopes of a Rhinos comeback.
However, two late tries from Mitch Allgood and Robbie Mulhern ended the contest and capped a magnificent night for the away side.
Rovers leapfrog their opponents into 10th place in Super League with victory. Leeds next face Salford at the AJ Bell Stadium on April 9, while Hull host Catalans Dragons at the KC Lightstream Stadium on April 7.
