Wigan forward Greg Burke has signed a new-three-year deal with the Super League leaders.
Burke has been one of a number of Wigan youngsters to make an excellent impression this season and his form has been rewarded with a new contract.
Initially tied to Shaun Wane's men until the end of the year, he will now remain until 2016 with an option for 2017.
He made his debut against Warrington earlier this season and has made 11 appearances in total.
"We are delighted Greg has committed his long-term future to the club," Wane said.
"He has really flourished this season and with injuries has probably had more game time so far than he or I probably expected.
"He has done a great job and is another young player who has learned our system coming through."
Wane, a former Wigan player and youth coach, has given a number of up-and-coming players a chance in the Warriors team. Liam Farrell was last week given a five-year contract, while other such as Dom Crosby, Logan Tomkins and Jack Hughes have all shone and established themselves as first-team regulars.
